Sedentary or . . .

I set my Initial information as "sedentary" due to my job, but I workout for two hours a day, which includes 5-10K run, supersets, weight training and pull ups. Is that appropriate? Will the Garmin sync impact any analysis? Does the sedentary setting seem appropriate due to the job?

I have mine set to sedentary, because for 8-9 hours I am sitting all day, which is hard on the body. I log the exercise I do (under "cardio" option) for caloric credits that I later eat up. The Garmin should help you get a better analysis of the calories you burn and would be more accurate than the MFP guesstimate.

Working out 2 hours a day is not sedentary. You are active.

If you log the exercise, then you don't take it into account for setting your activity level. Sitting all day except for 2 hours of logged exercise would be "sedentary".

Exercise is nothing to do with your activity setting if you are following the MFP method.
Remember MFP isn't a TDEE site.
Read the stickies in the getting started forum if you are unclear how this works.
