I just got a new smart phone and was wondering what apps everyone has. Currently, I have MFP, Ghost Radar, Angry Birds, Weather Channel, Light Saber, FB, Google Maps tiny flashlight. I love to knit and cook

I have an iPhone with KnitMinder--you can keep track of your stash, needles, UFOs, notes, plans, etc. I bet they also have an android app. Oh, and I'm a Scrabble addict. This is the one app I could not live without.

Not so much fun but there's an app called tallybee that is useful as a row counter.

Words With Friends!! TaNesa and I both play it. It's great for passing time when you're waiting in line.

OK...I know nothing about knitting and never messed with a cooking app, but I know a little about phones. So first get the Amazon app from the amazon marketplace (appstore for android). They offer a free app every day. I have gotten gaia, cardio trainer plus and countless games for free.
    MFP of course
Autokiller memory optimizer...people will say to get a task killer, but those do not work. android has a very effective task killer and this simply tightens up the restrictions
    Can Knockdown
Cardio Trainer (even the free version is great)
Google docs (if you are into that)
    Dropbox
    Flight Control
GRave Defense (paid app)...tower defense with zombies! I was shocked how addicting this game is
Handcent - much better interface for texting
    Movies
    PewPew
Ringdroid - if you want to make your own ringtones rather than pay for them. This app makes it really easy
    Slacker radio
    Shoundhound
    Springpad
Zedge - free downloadable wallpapers and ringtones

I also have a dropbox full of wallpapers...if you are interested, I can post a link.

    Barcode Scanner is useful.
Bump has limited application, but it is sweet when you use it.
DroidLight is epic [Here, let me take your picture!]
Magic 8 Ball for those of you who can't make a decision.
Out of Milk is a great way to keep a grocery list.
    Pandora.
Scanner Radio. Ever wonder what any cop anywhere is doing?

    Cheers.

Take a look at http://freestuffnews.blogspot.com. The lady that manages that site has an Android and is partial to listing cool free Android Apps she finds.

On the left column on that web page you will see the "tags" for her listings. Just click on the Android.

ShootMe is a great app. Lets you take a snapshot of your phone screen

    rR47i.png

Upper left - Battery Circle - shows you what batter life you have remaining
Upper right - Gesture Search - you can search for apps and contacts my swyping in the letters of the app/contact
Droid Overclock - (root required) - Allows you to over/under clock and under volt your phone. Underclocking/undervolting allows for better battery life
Lower right - Minimalistic Text - Instead of having a boring clock/date, you can have it set up in text. Lots of configurations.

I like to walk around the neighborhood and there is a app called Cardio Trainer that maps your route and counts steps and calories for you.

I use Cardio Trainer, C25K Pro, and Iheartradio all at the same time while doing C25K.
    Wordsmith - Another Scrabble one
WomanLog - Keeps that *kitten* TOM from sneeking up on me
Angry Birds - A must have for everybody who ever has to wait in line for anything!

I thought you were being sarcastic in not knowing what is an iPhone.
