so I want to burn fat off my hips and thighs what's the best way? I don't have access to the gym as I'm a full time mum and I usually give up on LG leg work outs I know those are somewhat of the main things I should do.. other than that I'm fairly active and eating well. . any advice?

Unfortunately you can't spot reduce. All you can do is eat at a deficit and lose fat overall. Though incorporating a good resistance/progressive weight program would be worth considering.

You can't spot reduce, eat at a calorie deficit and eventually, fat will come off from those areas.

Just keep losing and it will come off, eventually. I hate my thighs, too. If there were anything that really worked, I think I'd have found it by now and would happily share! It just doesn't exist.

You can tone the muscles underneath, but that doesn't get rid of the fat. Or, sadly, the loose skin, which may not be an issue for you...or most people. But it sucks for me, lol. Tone up and you'll feel better. When you get closer to your goal, they'll look better, too. But for the fat, it's a matter of time.

Keep losing and they'll get better! :)

I share your frustration. I'm a pear, the last place I lose is around my hips & thighs.

Calorie deficit is eating less than your body burns. Basically the formula for losing weight. If you are losing weight, the fat will come off....where it chooses to (genetics).

A calorie deficit is eating less/burning more than what your body requires to maintain it's current weight.

So let's assume you eat 1900 calories to maintain your weight. If you eat 1700 calories, then you are in a deficit.

Caloric deficit is when you eat less than your body burns on a given day. 3500 calories constitute a pound, so if you want to lose a lb a week, you'd eat 500 fewer calories everyday. You can calculate your golden number the updating your MFP profile and putting in your info.

As you lose you will lose it from all over. As mentioned, you can't spot reduce, so keep losing and it will come.

I ONLY gain weight in my hips/thighs/bum. I have abs but my thighs and but are a jiggly mess.. if there was a way to spot reduce I would have found it haha.
