One I liked had nothing to do with weight loss on the surface, but I think addresses the worry that many of us feel for how long the road is.

It was advice to someone who was questioning whether it was too late for them to go back and earn a college degree. She was worried because it would take 4 years, and she'd be 50 when she graduated.

The advice she got that I really found meaningful? "And how old will you be in 4 years if you don't go back to school?".

Time passes for us all - in four years, do we want to look back with regret, or forward with optimism?

Be kind to yourself. Fat bashing is as damaging (if not more damaging) coming from yourself as it is coming from others.

Didn't get any good advice. Not that I would have listened. ;) This is what I've determined:

Get a life and stop making food (how much, what kind, when, where, why, why not, etc.) the focus of my day.

Look both ways before you cross the road.
