Rice question!!!!

Sorry if this is a stupid question..
But on the box it says 1/3 cup nutrition info. Now is that 1/3 measured dry or after it has been cooked .!!!! Please help

    It's usually dry unless the package says otherwise.

    ask yourself this what is going into the rice when it cooks, does it have calories and can it be consumed raw? Most times food that requires water to be consumed is pre cooked calculated and just because it grows when its cooked doesn't mean the caloric value should grow with it.. My 2 cents

    If it doesn't distinguish, assume it means that it's dry.

    When I started tracking calories, I didn't know this and was always shocked at the calories in pasta and rice. :)

    If you actually weigh th 1/3 cup, you will verify that it is dry. Water for cooking will add weight. I have no idea if cooking rice without any liquid would be any kind of edible.
