Hey guys, despite of my 1200cal a day goal, I have barely on track of that and ate little or big extras everyday. I would like to write down when, why I ate those to rethink abt it.

I think there's a blog feature attached to each person's profile. You could log it all daily, if you want.

It's a really good idea to pay attention to when you cheat, what foods trigger a binge, etc. Good for you! :)

Thanks! Im studying now and Im under a huge pressure and stress. I will not be able to sleep tonight because of the midterm and paper. I had my meal and a lot of caffeine from coffee but I keep thinking of doughnuts and icecream cake and they are kind of distracting.

No, not going to. I have a friend tomorrow coming over and Im going to shopping thi weekend.

How tall are you? Are you getting only 1200 calories because you set your goal to lose 2 pounds per week? Since your ticker says you have only 19 pounds to lose, try a more sustainable goal of 0.5 pound per week and enjoy those extra calories.

    Im 161 cm.
So I was studying very late at night yesterday and started feel a very intense craving (like 2am). So I went out to the closest gas station, bought a box of cereal, and a ate most of it and consumed more than 1700 cal just over the night. What should I do today? Shouldnt I be eating anything at all today because I already consumed more than my goal today?

I hope I dont do night craving anymore because it eventually make me very sleepy and I did fall asleep before finishing the work. The best way to stay up and keep a strong mind from not eating is to go work out around 9pm. (That works for me)

Honestly, if you are not sleeping 7-8 hours a night that is a huge contributing factor. There have been numerous studies that show that people who do not get adequate rest tend to overeat. I know when I had babies(maybe 4 hours sleep at night while they were tiny) I could eat a whole bag of chocolate chips or any other random unhealthy in large quantity food easily in a day. I do blame it on trying to function with low sleep hours and quality. A simple search should bring up some of the studies I mean. Plan your food out daily, eat on a somewhat regular schedule, eat enough to fuel your body not starve it, get a workout in to help with energy levels and focus. And sleep!

1200 is too little for most people. Eat a reasonable amount, enough protein and fat, and you will be less likely to binge.

Go to http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ to find a reasonable calorie goal (20% deficit is great if you have more than 10 pounds to lose).

No, just write it off and start over today. If you go to low you will likely end up overeating again and get into a bad pattern.

Consider raising your calorie allowance, especially since you don't have much to lose and are under stress. It's much better to consistently stick with your goal than have a too aggressive one that you go over (or which can result in binging).

Like someone else already said, lack of sleep makes it much harder to stick to a goal, so if you can't control that right now focus on a lower deficit until you get back to a normal schedule. Also, if you are going to be up late, maybe try having more filling or nutrient dense/lower calorie foods around to snack on, like some berries or raw veggies. In a situation like you describe I will want to eat to justify a break or to wake myself up (walking around or dancing or something works for this instead, and can reduce stress), but it's not real hunger--it's a habit.

I am sticking to 1200 a day and have 3 meals a day . I am a repetitive eater so just have 25g of cereal for breakfast, scrambled egg at lunch or if out and about I take a banana and some nuts and an apple. I just make sure my evening meal is mostly vegetables so tend to have a stir fry and after so I feel like I have had somthing sweet I have some rasberrys or strawberries. This is around 1200 and it does not leave me feeling hungery .

Alright guys, I am going to finish a 8 pages politics paper over this night. 10pm, just had about 300kcal healthy meal, 120kcal of protein shake. Not gonna cheat, overeating overnight makes me really sleepy and distracted. I am gonna concentrate, get it done next morning when the Sun rises!

    Here we go!

Thanks all of you for advises, unfortunately, I can't go along my school without having little sleep for now...
