I have been thinking about getting Stevia instead of Splenda as a sweetener. I have been reading alittle about it and it seems like it is a better alternative but....I also read it has a black licorice flavor to it. I HATE licorice!! So does anyone who uses it taste a black licorice flavor???

I've had Vitamin Water Zero that is flavored with Stevia. I didn't think it had a black licorice flavor.0

I bought it and threw it away. It had a medicine taste or something. I would not call it licorice. I don't know what it is. I will stick to regular. I don't really use it much anyway.0

stevia has no flavor. it is just sweet. I do have vanilla stevia though and it's awesome too.0

I've never noticed any flavor other than just plain sweet, like sugar. Definitely start by adding a VERY small amount because it's much stronger than regular sugar, or even Splenda...you can always add more! I notice if I've added too much (to my tea or whatever), then it takes on a bit of a chemical-like flavor...not licorice though.0
