Ok fellow keto peeps. I have a question, ok so with me doing keto I am finding it hard to stay in my calorie range according to mfp. I'm meeting all my macros I think. I'm still new to the whole macros. I've followed atkins years ago and lost a lot of weight. I'm wondering on atkins it wasn't so much about calories it was eating no carbs and stating satisfied. Help

    My diet is for diabetes control, although I'm also losing weight while I'm at it so I am also counting calories. Not everyone needs to.

    I don't go by MFP calorie suggestion it would have me eating 1200 a day and I'm not in to getting hungry lol. I eat LCHF 1500 Cals a day, 5'2" 35 more lbs to loose ( avg 1.5 -2 lbs a week) but like I said check out the link you can get more responses over there

    I think the idea with keto is that after a while it can dim your appetite, so eventually you will gradually eat less calories. Might just take a while until that happens. Good luck.

    Atkins is just a marketed edition of Keto btw.

    People have different views on carbs, IE I would say I don't eat any carbs, but to me carbs are from rice and wheat... I eat a *kitten* ton of veggies though...

    Is your calories maybe to low ? I know when I 1st started with MFP I put that I wanted to lose 2 lbs a week and MFP gave me 1200 I tried that for a week and say ugh I can't eat that low ....I don't do what MFP tells me ..... I go by TDEE (scoobysworkshop.com) which has exercise included so I don't have to figure out how much I burn :) ...I hope that helps and wishing you much success :)

    I wouldn't say this is a "different" view of carbohydrates. Vegetables have carbohydrates. If someone claims they don't eat any carbohydrates, but they actually are eating them, that just wouldn't be an accurate statement.
