Anyone else?

Ok sorry if this is tmi, but I have been going really well with my eating and just starting to get some exercise happening (post ACL reconstruction mixed with post op MCL tear) and bam... I'm pretty sure I'm coming up to TOM and the last couple of days I have eaten just about everything in sight and it's driving me crazy. Please tell me how you have overcome this issue if it happens to anyone else?

I ate stuff all day yesterday.. The cravings and some water weight gain always happen no matter what and (tmi or not) I am peri-meno...

I plan for it.. It's all I can do as my body just acts the ways it does and the hormones are not much you can do anything about...

I set my goals to maintain my weight during that time, I won't try and eat that much but I know that that is the absolute max that I need to eat that week, so it kind of keeps me in check! One week out isn't going to hurt :)

I have the hardest time the week before my TOM. I will often eat the entire kitchen. I try to make sure i have some of the things i enjoy around but be concious of why i am doing it and try to eat it in moderation rather than just try to abstain. Its one week....it wont derail my efforts as long as i dont go over board. I have found that if i really want something i will try to wait it out....it i still want it in a day or two then i will have it.

Really, as long as you are staying under your maintenance calories then you're not hurting anything. You're just slowing down the loss a little. Every once in a while we need a *little* flexibility.

Thanks guys. It makes me feel better knowing others go through the same thing. Im not sure what my maintenance calories would be but hopefully i havent gone over that. I have woken up this morning and read your responses and have got fresh determination. I can and will beat this!

If you go into your mfp goals, you can change it from losing to maintenance. It'll give you the amount.
