I'm 30 years old && a mother of 3.
I started keeping the extra weight on in 2005, when I quit smoking && turned to food, followed by the birth of my second child. I had gained around 50 lbs during that pregnancy. I've struggled with my diet && exercise level since then. In 2013, I gave birth to my 3rd, && last child. I've allowed myself to eat food for many reasons... Socializing, to fill emotional voids && sometimes it's because I'm bored.
Growing uncomfortable with my appearance && suffering from multiple Digestive issues, I'm ready to make a difference.
I find myself coming up with excuses all of the time whether it be that I go to a Drive-thru because I'm on the road or that I can't go to the gym as I'm a stay-at-home mother of a disabled child.
I'm just stuck in a rut && ready to climb out!!
I'd appreciate any help/tips anyone may have ☺

    Hello! Congrats on setting goals and getting ready to make a change! I've only just started on my journey but I've picked up a couple tips, and would love to learn more.
    One, find what works for you. Trying new meal plans of foods you know you hate won't help, so try to find healthy ways to prepare foods you love.
    Two, create habits with small changes at first. It's a lot easier to maintain small habits than overhauling your whole life.
    Three, preparation is key. If you know you have a crazy week ahead prep some on the go foods so you won't be starving later.
    Four, eat to be healthy not thin. As you eat healthier you will start feeling better physically and emotionally cause you will know you're nourishing your body right. Slowly but surely you will lose weight. I found that after two days of eating right I felt like a million bucks, energized and happy. Note I did not starve myself, I found out the right amount of protein and carbs to nourish me. Starving makes your body burn your muscle, not the fat. So you're doing more harm than good.
    Two of my new favorite you tubers are Joanna soh and bakingmadgymaddict. Joanna teaches a lot about eating healthy for your body type, and cheaply too! Baking makes some amazing meal plans. Enjoy!

    Awesome && Thank you so much!!
    I definitely agree with making small changes (working my way up to achieving my goals will come easier if I do so).
    When I was younger, I didn't have a problem with my weight.... But, with age and child birth, come changes...
    So, like I said, I'm new to this.
    I think my biggest road block is the lack of motivation. If I can find ways to stay motivated, especially with exercise, I'll be golden ;)
    The diet may be a bit hard, at times, because I'm your typical Italian woman who loves to cook (and enjoys eating!!), but I'm sure I'll learn some effective tweaking && new skills to help me with that.
    I would LOVE to create an exercise regimen that works with my schedule/lifestyle && keeps my attention at the same time...
    BUT, here's to taking small, but effective, steps in the right direction
