Doing something wrong

I'm sure there have been many of these posts,  but I really don't know why I'm not losing weight!?  Granted I've been off MFP for the last couple of weeks, but have been quite good food wise. Keeping 3 meals a day and fruit for snacks. ..haven't been drinking alcohol and im on week 5 of couch to 5k! (Running 3 times a week)
My clothes feel loser but for love nor money the scales just won't budge! !!!!
Pls any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

    If you haven't been on MFP, you really have no idea how much you're eating. Start logging your food again, making sure it's as accurate as possible, and it should start going down.

    Yes your right, I need to get back into logging everything. ..fingers crossed I start seeing some change soon....thought (or hoped) the scales weren't working properly lol...thanks for reply

    Your clothes feel looser... Then you are probably retaining water that is offsetting the loss you've actually had among who knows what else that's skewing the scales.
    Bottom line is you said, your clothes are looser. You're fine. Stick with it. Who cares what numbers on the scale if you're noticeably getting smaller. Something isn't wrong. Something is right. The scale will catch up eventually.

    I have been using MFP for over a year, the phone apt irritated me so much that I unplugged everything and then I decided to give it another chance, so it started me over where I am after losing 30 lbs. I need the tool of consumption vs. burned. At age 57, 245 lbs I started Slim in 6 video work out every day. Went to walking 5 miles a day some minor ankle twists and I now have a Treadclimber 20 and that is great. Thing is I only eat 1200-1500 a day, work outs are usually totalling 800-1200 a day. I don't drink alcohol or caffeine. I prefer salt to sugar, so I really don't crave things. I really paid attention from 5/5/2015 to 7/31/2015 first 15 lbs. Then I started increasing my work out by 9/5/2015 I was down a total of 20 lbs. Then I was distracted and managed to gain back 5 lbs...where I became irritated with my decline and a friend of mine went and had Laser Lipo and I decided I was going to push myself, because I don't think that was a good way to go...so I challenged myself. Now, every week I go up and I go down...I eat the same foods equaling 1200 cal. a day and my work outs entail 2 good hours of my day and I am drenched from all the sweating going on. I can hold a plank for 30 seconds absolutely straight as a board, I do 30-40 pushups, numerous lunges, squats, plies, crunches, curls, kicks etc. Here is the thing, since 10/5/2015 my weight is exactly the same 215 and my measurements are exactly the same. With all this sweat equity and food intake monitoring...shouldn't I see a pretty sizable change in 30-40 days...nothing. Nothing has changed, except my sense of humor. I am much stronger now, but my clothes all fit the same. I am cold every night because I don't have enough calories to keep me warm, so what gives. The doctor gave me a clean bill of health, Thyroid, Heart, Liver, Lungs, Kidneys all perfect, the doctor has no idea either. I am rather broken-heart ed right now.

    Have you considered requesting a referral to a dietician for assistance? Or maybe seeing a specialist for a second opinion to rule out something your doctor might have missed?

    You need to be eating closer to 2000 calories daily for every day you are burning the additional 800-1200 calories in exercise. Your body is not getting enough fuel. Ensure you start the day with a protein heavy breakfast with a bit of carbs to set the best tone for your metabolism throughout the day. At this point it definitely matters what your calories are made up of not just the overall amount. Ensure you're eating enough protein every day! Best of luck!

    A long time ago , so long I can hardly remember ( well actually it was 1979), a friend who was a competition ballroom dancer told me that if my clothes felt looser when I had been (running , working out, dancing etc) vigorously 3 days a week, I needed to remember that muscle weighs more than fat.

    I expect dietetics and nutrition science has advanced since then, but that still holds true.

    I like this guy @BecomingBane. He knows what he's talking about!

    Purelush, if you aren't counting calories how do you know you are doing enough to keep a good calorie deficit to meet your weight loss expectations? Sounds like you are doing good things but if you are wanting a quicker return, you need to stick to a plan (and adjust the plan if you aren't getting the results you are wanting).

    This is actually a falsity. 1 cubic centimeter of muscle takes up the same volume as 1 cubic centimeter of fat. What I'm pretty sure you're getting at is that a given mass of muscle takes up less volume than an equivalent mass of fat.

    If applied generally, the logic in the argument that fat and muscle weigh same because 1 lb muscle = 1 lb of fat would mean that everything is equal to everything else. Shaquille O'Neal is not taller than Kristen Chenoweth, because 1 inch of Shaquille O'Neal is the same linear distance as 1 inch of Kristen Chenoweth. The broiler in my oven is not hotter than my freezer, because 1 degree centigrade of the heat present next to my broiler is the same as 1 degree centigrade of the heat present in my freezer.
