I have Crohn's disease and my doctor has had me on a low fiber diet since May. We think I'm out of the flare and in remission but I still can't digest many fruits/veggies. I can handle bananas, applesauce, canned string beans, peas and small portions of cooked carrots. A salad and any green leafy veggies are out if the question. I've tried to do some research on MFP but haven't found much information. Anyone else done a low fiber diet? I'm having a hard time the losing weight. I pretty much stick to carbs and chicken ( at least my tummy is happy again)!

Ask for a referral to a dietitian. Your insurance will probably pay for it and if it doesn't, it's not expensive. You'll get so much good info. It'll be the best 30-60 minutes you spend on your diet!

Dietitians are fine for weight loss, but honestly, anyone who passed 6th grade health learned what they needed to know about how to lose weight. Where dietitians shine and are so worth the money is when you have special circumstances. They're so very helpful. :)

I'm low fibre but I eat a LCHF ketogenic diet - not what you were looking for.

Hope you continue to feel better.

    This will vary by individual.
You might consider small amounts of cantaloupe or honeydew melon and possibly cucumbers.
Also sorbet or frozen fruit bars.

Some soluble fiber is fine...it's the Insoluble stuff that causes problems.
