Anyone else feeling the pressure? 21 lbs will put me out of the overweight status ....would love to start the new year out not being over weight....but that's a lot in 6 weeks.....I am going to shoot for it...probably won't make it...but the closer I get the better. Been losing 5-7 a month now for the past few months 30 in all....gonna have to step up my game for the next couple weeks

21 pounds in 6 weeks when you've lost less than two pounds per week over the "past few months" is an unrealistic goal.

I would love to lose 10 pounds by Christmas. About 2 years ago, I lost 40 pounds. Since that time, I have gained 20 back.

    You can do it!

I'm not feeling any pressure. I'd love to be at 60 lbs lost. That's about 7.5 lbs more, but with the holidays I will not be hard on myself and let myself maintain (no gaining :) ). I started in January last year, so already I've lost a little over a pound a week and am super happy.

Not unrealistic...very doable...if I want to screw everything up I've worked so hard for. I can lose 20 in a month...just not in a healthy way...as I said I would love to be 170 by new years but I won't make it...but I'm going to try (because if I try...maybe I will lose ten or 15....) If I dont push a little harder it will be my normal 4

If doing so requires you "to screw everything up" it is than an unrealistic goal.

Good luck, I read your first comment where you say you don't think you will reach that goal, but you want to get as close as possible. I can understand that. It sounds like you will accept a weight loss over what you have been getting so far.

Whatever you lose, a loss is a loss, good luck. Great work on what you have already lost 5+ a month is really good.

I jad two months where I just maintained...and thank you for reading my post and not skimming through it to see what negative comment you could make...and yes I will be content with any loss...happy with more....and simply amazed if I get close lol

I guess the definition of unrealistic really shouldn't even matter since I stated I wasn't going to make it but was going to get as close as I could....but to argue your point 21 Lbs in 6 weeks IS realistic.... people do it all the time

People who are morbidly obese do it. That rate is well beyond what is safe for the vast majority of people losing weight and should only be considered under medically prescribed and supervised situations.

I'd recommend that rather than cast aspersions that people only read to see what "negative" comments they can make that you actually compare your earlier concession to what it means to set a realistic goal. If you were to do that in an honest manner, it would reveal that your own comments contradict your assertions that the goal is in any way realistic.

I do not recall setting 21lbs as a goal...I said I would like to be there.... I would also like million dollars in my bank account...and bigger boobs. I think maybe now you are just trying to argue but are really doing nothing more than making a donkey of yourself... I however am done with you....have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas and a safe new years!!

"21 lbs will put me out of the overweight status ....would love to start the new year out not being over weight....but that's a lot in 6 weeks.....I am going to shoot for it" (stating a goal) ... followed immediately by admitting you probably won't make it (because it is unrealistic).

You then follow your self contradiction with name calling ("making a donkey of yourself").

The only arguing here is you against the content of your own posts.

Sorry I was not more specific...I thought by saying I wasn't going to make it I was implying I was going to get as close as I could...forgot the audience ! Have a nice night :).....oh....and since you are being so literal....I did not call you a donkey I said you were making one of yourself....translation : you are acting like one

Nice attempt to justify/rationalize your personal attacks.

Not un relaxed at all :) wasn't asking for help or advice .... Was making a statement. ..BUT in his and everyone's defence I guess everyone's entitled to state their opinion... I just need to get used to ppl posting their opinion when it wasnt asked for. Not being sarcastic...stating just one of my many faults
