Tip 1: Make your own food choices and save a ton of money
Tip 2: For sustainable weightloss, pick something you plan to stick with for longer than 17 days.
"X Day plan/diet" are great if you need motivation or can't be bothered cooking/logging and are happy to pay someone to do the thinking for you, but a lot of people find that once the plan/diet "ends" (either by time or money running out) they go straight back to old habits.
I made my own diet. I'm not letting someone else get rich when I can do it myself.
(I know this isn't exactly the information you asked for, but it is a very valid point)0 -
You wont lost much REAL weight in 17 days. Unless you are severely obese, you are looking at max around 4lbs real weight and the rest will be water.0

Set up myfitnesspal with your stats, and eat what you like as long as you're in a deficit. It'll be much cheaper and less stressful.
You don't have to be hungry to lose weight. Eat what MFP gives you, plus some of the calories you gain from exercise as well. Don't set an aggressive weight loss goal: If you have over 50lbs to lose, go for 2lbs a week, under 50lbs and over 30lbs 1.5lbs a week, and 30lbs and under 1-.5lbs a week. If you'd like help in figuring out your caloric intake, please state your age, height, current weight and activity level without exercise as well as current exercise routine, if you have one.
Weight loss isn't a race. It took time to gain weight, so it will take time to lose the weight as well.
The 17 day diet is a VLCD (very low calorie diet) for example:
Breakfast: Plain low-fat yogurt with fresh berries, green tea
Lunch: Green salad with a variety of vegetables like tomato and cucumber with a homemade vinaigrette, green tea
Dinner: Grilled salmon, choice of raw or steamed vegetables, green tea
Snacks: Sugar-free fruit-flavored yogurt, choice of one fruit
That's incredible low, around 500 calories a day! I'd have that many calories for breakfast some days. It' very unhealthy to lose too much weight at a fast rate. The minimum calories MFP sets is 1200 net with exercise or 1200 total without exercise for women.

I would be passing out if I ate that little food.

Just use myfitnesspal's food diary section and eat what you like, just stay within your calories. No need to cut foods out of your diet unless you're instructed to do so by your dietitian or doctor. There's no need to fuss with a diet as a calorie deficit is the important part in weight loss. I eat what I like (not all junk, but I have treats often), and stay within or at my calories for the day and I've lost 40lbs since June.0
