Oh, and I'd recommend reading the stickies at the top of the weight loss help forum if you're just starting out - especially those on how to accurately weigh and log your food.0 -
Awesome! Just be prepared for the excitement to wear off. I'm definitely not trying to rain on your parade, but I expected to be excited about this stuff forever. Don't get me wrong.. it's still really cool, but the amazing newness isn't there anymore. I think that's when it can really get challenging.0

After so many years of assuming the situation was hopeless, I'm getting a huge charge out of realizing it's in my control after all. I've seen friends lose 50-100 lbs. and always thought there must be some kind of magic operating. That's not it at all. It's just adding consistent exercise and staying within a calorie budget. I address the calorie budget by controlling portions, not by crossing any particular food off the list. I think that's permanently sustainable. Well, listen to me, as if I were an expert--I just started. But it's working.0
