Hi all, I could do with a little help please. Since Feb this year I've lost a good amount of weight (67lb) but have now stalled. I would like to get off the last bit that would take me into the "normal range". I'm 5ft 0 a medium frame 54 year old female with an under active thyroid. I've been using a fit bit to get me moving and occasionally go to a salsa class. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

What kind of calorie deficit are you in, and how are you measuring said deficit? That's what it's going to come down to (barring certain medical conditions).

When you get close to goal, the rate of loss slows. Keep doing what is working. Consider more more salsa maybe.
Congrats on your weight loss. :)

How long have you been stalled, how many calories do you eat on average per day. Open diaries help (Settings, bottom left, set to public)

Looks like the diary could use a little tightening up. As you're down to that last bit of weight to lose, the margin for error is smaller than it once was.

I suggest replacing all of the generic entries (Jams and Preserves, Medium sized pieces of generic fruit, 2 thighs of chicken etc) with the specific brands of those items you are using, and where applicable, weigh them also.

I used to aim for 700/800 calories a day but now seems to have crept over the thousand, it could be that causing me to stall :(

How do you define a 'stall'? How long?
It's not recommended that women eat under 1200 because it's very difficult to get adequate nutrition below that level. You're short, a little older and have an underactive thyroid, but I still doubt 1000 could be close to maintenance. Like others have said, tighten your logging, you're probably eating more than you think. Are you on any medication for your thyroid?

I'm on thyroxine also had a early menopause at 38 so I'm well through that now and where as I used to be pear shaped I'm now apple with fat stored in the belly area which is annoying me as I reckon all of the last 14lb is out front. I say 14lb but I'm not sure if that will be it until I get there. At the moment I'm a uk 12/14 dress size. I set the calories at around the 7/800 so that would give me a buffer if I wasn't good a logging that day of if the stats weren't wholly accurate . I'd say it's been about 6/7 weeks now of me hovering around 10st 1 and 10 st 4 .. I'm on fluvoxamine ( not sure that spelling is correct) for high blood pressure and retain fluids very easily so I can go up or down a couple of pounds just through fluid retention. I probably need to just grit my teeth and knuckle down. According to my Fitbit I need to take about 15000 steps a day to burn 2000 calories which is a bit depressing.

that sort of thing, yes. White bread with jam, sugar in drinks, etc etc. Not the most nutritious choices for your small calorie budget.

Cookies, crisps etc and often low protein intake for the day.

Try to get 50 grams of protein as a bare minimum, and trade the packet snack foods for something healthier.
