To log strength or not...

Checking out MFP after years of WW, and I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.
I use a Fitbit Charge HR and have synced it to MFP, so I'm not logging my cardio to avoid double counting. The Fitbit seems to be giving me a reasonable number of calories for my cardio. Yay!
But what about strength? Should I be logging it here because the Fitbit won't get it accurately? Should I not log it to avoid double counting?

I log all my workouts through FitBit. For me, their calorie burn estimation seems more accurate than the MFP estimations (almost half the amount in most situations). If you want to log it here, that works as well. Keep in mind all trackers are estimating your calorie burn, so the best test is real life experience. Log it which ever way you choose consistently for a month, and see what your results are. Just my thoughts on this one.

I made up some custom exercises for logging body weight strength stuff, and you could do the same with any strength exercises. I just set them up so for every 5 minutes it shows 1 calorie. That way if I want I can look at the logs and know how much time I spent on different areas.0

I dont log my Strength.
But now I am seeing that I maybe got giving myself the credit that I need for the almost hour of strength I do.0 -
When you log strength on MFP you will notice that it doesn't give you a calorie adjustment. This is because it is very hard to estimate calorie burns and probably not as high as you think. As long as what you are doing now is working (i.e you are losing at the indicated pace set in your goals) there is no real need to log strength unless you just want to.0

If you log it under cardio, it will give a calorie adjustment. Mine is around 250 for the hour. It's not high, but it is there. If you log under strength, there is no adjustment.0 -
Thanks for all the answers. I'm leaning towards not logging strength to make sure I don't double count. (I already keep track of it on another app that tracks my progress nicely.)0
