NSVs? What about NSGs?

I love reading about other people's non scale victories. I would also love to read about some non scale goals!
Mine are:
1. Doing a pull up
2. Running a 10K without walking
3. Going sky diving

They're kind of silly, I know, but these are three things I've never done that my size previously prevented me from even considering. Now I am slowly but surely plugging away at them.
So, what are your non scale goals?

2.) Make it all the way through a Jiu-Jitsu class without having to put my hands on my knees and suck in deep breaths.

    • Deadlift 4 plates (405lbs)
    • Squat 3 plates (315lbs)
    • Bench 2 plates (225lbs)
    • Overhead press 1 plate (135lbs) - This one is complete.
    • Qualify for the Boston Marathon if my knees allow it. My first marathon was 13 minutes shy of it.
    • Join the 1000 club (1000 pounds between deadlift, squat and bench)

Also for all you skydiving hopefuls, you're going to love it! I finally jumped in May... then again in July... and again in September... it's addicting!

    1. Be as comfortable as one can be on a plane - traveling a lot while over 300 sucked.
    2. I have a sabbatical I can take soon, I want to hike to the summit of Kilimanjaro in 2017. By far the easiest of the Seven Summits, but still a major accomplishment.
    3. I want to learn to scuba dive, and not be mistaken for an orca and harpooned.

I want to do 100 consecutive push-ups (on my toes!). I did the hundred push-up program before and got to around 88-89 and then got sidetracked and quit, gained weight, lost my fitness level, and am back here again. I have been kicking myself over that ever since. I was so close!! I haven't started back up yet but I will after this weights program I'm on.

    My overall NSGs:

    1. Play tennis again this spring and not die.
    2. Achieve 3 sets x 20 reps of military pushups.
    3. Wear shorts this summer, that came from a regular store, not a plus size store.

    1. Not thinking about losing weight any more.
    2. Feeling confident and balanced.
    3. Riding at any equestrian centre without worrying that I'll be too heavy, and choosing my next horse without thinking I should only be looking at the serious weight carriers.

I love #1 and #2. I remember many years back when I was considering what New Year's resolutions I might make and realized that for the first time, my weight and even my fitness level, were already where I wanted them to be. It was a magical moment. It would be lovely to achieve that again.

For now, I just want to be able to run a 5k. And stay injury free!
