I'm fairly new here and I find it helps because I won't eat over my calorie allowance. Makes me really think about what's worth eating. I still have some treats but fit them into my calories for the day. I was tracking before but this app has a bunch of the foods I buy and makes it easier. It's kind of like weight watchers makes you track points. You can track exercise (which gives you extra calories for the day and auto adds them for you) and pounds lost if you weigh yourself and log. Helps the most when you're seeing results of course!0

You set up your acct accurately
Put the correct weight and height and activity level.
It will give you a daily calorie goal based on the info you provided
Eat that calorie goal
Use a food scale to weigh everything you consume to be sure you are actually logging accurately. Remembered everything must be weighed and measured for this to be as accurate as possible. Include everything, even little things like condiments, oil, gravy, butter and so on.
For weight loss, all you need to do is create a calorie deficit.0
