Welcome. I was in the Army but that was 25 years ago. I was 17 and 100 pounds when I went in. I couldn't run a block or do 5 pushups. Basic Training changes that really quickly. By the time I left Basic Training, I could do 45 pushups in 2 minutes and 75 situps in 2 minutes. The run always gave me problems but I at least passed the test. I think it was something like 2 miles in 22 minutes. They push you hard but it's amazing some of the crazy things they do to get you in shape. If you can run 2 miles then you're off to a good start. Hopefully, someone will respond that can give you some strength training advice. Trust me, you can do it!!!! Good luck!!!
