Skinny Girl Margaritas!!!

I'm in love with this stuff! If you haven't heard of this magical booze yet, its a bottle of pre-made margarita mix (tequila included) that is only 36 calories per 1 ounce. At 12.5% alcohol, its the equivalent of one beer! If you pour that 1 ounce over ice, it's a good size cocktail. This weekend I mixed 1 ounce of skinny girl with a splash of minute maid light raspberry juice and a bit of plain seltzer. It was amazing AND the best part? 40 calories :-)

Sounds good, where do you purchase this?????0

I am not sure if that info is correct 12.5 of any alcohol is way more than 36 calories. Perhaps you are getting the one without the alcohol?0
-
I just had this drink this weekend too!!! I loved it and felt like I wasn't ruining my day by having it!!!0

Sounds great0

I just saw some of that and I love Margaritas!!!! I will have to buy it the next time I see it , THank you so much !!!0

I love Skinny Girl Margaritas! Great idea about mixing them. I will try that sometime.0

BUMP -- want to come back to this topic.0

I just checked and it is a little over 100 calories per serving not bad still.0

One ounce of tequila is roughly 70 calories, but the one ounce in this mix isn't all tequila. Also one ounce of wine is roughly 25 calories and the alcohol content on that is up around the same percentage. Depends on the booze.
(I shouldn't know that much about alcohol. Haha!!)0 -
It's about 100 calories every 4oz. I like to add a fresh squeezed lime to mine.0

I bought 3 bottles a week ago...stockpiling for our week of vacation at the lake at the end of the month. It's SOOOO good!0

So apparently none of you have a girlfriend that makes you watch The Real Housewives of New York.0

Thanks for the recommendation!0 -

It has a lot of chemicals (i.e. sweeteners) though, and it actually gave me a BAD stomachache. It is so easy to make your own!
1 shot good tequila
juice of 2 limes
Club soda
Shake up the tequila and lime juice in a cocktail shaker and get it nice and cold, add to a cup of ice, then add club soda to top it off. It is very yum!0 -

No, it's def alcoholic. I'm sure you could double-check this info online if you needed to see it with your own eyes lol :-)0 -
100 calories per 4 ounces makes sense seeing that 1 oz said about 36 calories (that would be more like 140 calories per 4 ounces) but you can really make that last if you only use 1 ounce per drink. Being an avid red wine drinker, I just think this is a great option for BBQ's and other summer stuff where wine isn't always the best option. Even some bars have it now! Talk about a better alternative to a beer!! :-)0

I found it at World Market today!!0

Love the stuff too, but I did my own research, and if you like white wine, it has about 200 calories less per bottle than Skinny Girl!0
-
Okay, now I seriously need a drink...LOL
Wish the drinks I like were low calories..............this is my #1 problem in the summer.0 -
I have bought several bottles of Skinny Girl. My daughter (over 21) likes it but I was not too crazy about it.
I just bought a Margarita flavored Crystal Light at the grocery store the other day. I am going to try and doctor that up with a shot of Tequila and some fresh lime. (only calories you would have would be in the alcohol so that would be 100 calories for 1.5 ounces of tequila with a 6.5 or 8 ounce glass of lemonade) sounds pretty reasonable.
They also had Mojito flavor and Appletini flavors too (probably new for the summer)0 -

Great info - i have some of this in my cupboard but thought it was just the mixer substitute and hadn't tried it yet. Nice it is "all in". No wonder it was so expensive and so highly recommended!0

I'm a huge margarita person so I think they are ok, but a real one is obviously much better. My issue is that 1 serving is 4 fluid oz and that is 100 calories, but really who is only going to drink 1 fluid oz? 1 shot = 1.5 fluid oz.. so for me a small glass FULL of ice is more like 200 calories and thats just not worth it when I could make my own for less.0

its worth every calorie and you dont need to drink a bunch. You either love it or not. The entire bottle is 3 or 4 ww pp. I love it. Its not full of chemicals anymore than any other kind of alcohol.
LOVE IT!0 -

I'm not sure this is accurate. It has alcohol in it, but it is sweetened with Agave nectar. I don't think there are chemicals in it. If I'm wrong, please let me know what the chemicals are (other than the alcohol).
But, your recipe sounds good too!0
