That's why you keep it classy and count in your head while checking your watch over their shoulder. Duh.
Isn't there a fitness series "you are your own gym?"
Same could apply here as well

I'd personally recommend a heart rate monitor.
Except I don't believe anyone is actually burning a substantial amount of calories having sex.
Queue the obligatory "You're not doing it right, hehe" posts.
I mean, of course we're all having sex two to three hours every day. Who needs a gym?0 -
It's interesting. The study where the figure that gives the burn closest to the 200 calories an hour cited an average length per session as being six minutes. The figure given for a burn for a 150 pound male was about 3.5 calories a minute.
Sorrynotsorry for bursting bubbles. I'm too old and jaded to be amused by this thread.
Not too old to be amused by sex, mind you.0 -

You're just mad because you only burn 3.5 calories having sex.

Not everything that's fun needs to burn calories, man.0 -
Is that six minutes a rep or a set? How many reps and sets? I never trust a man to do the measuring.0
-
Ok. Note to self. Have more sex.0

And if that doesn't do it for you, there's always shake weights.

Oh, so that's what CICO stands for . . .0

I'd rather burn 25, then go running:)0

This is an urban myth. Sex wouldn't burn any more calories than something like light house cleaning.0

Yeah, they always round up. A lot.0 -

MFP says I will burn 234 calories per hour for light cleaning.0 -
Hah I usually delete people who log sex and/or house cleaning, cooking etc from my friends list. They're usually accompanied by ridiculously high burns.
Seriously who wants this on their newsfeed for everyone to see??0 -
"Sex" isn't in the database - what were you seeing?0

I've seen
"doing the deed"
"rompy pompy"
They must write it in manually and get the burn number from who knows where..

Aha!
Sometimes my burns look crazy high because the system lumps everything I did all day in together - for example, on Sunday I gardened twice, walked, and went to the gym.0 -

I hear ya. Sometimes fitbit gives me 1200 calorie burns, but this takes me like 10 hours to achieve!0 -

Agreed Haha0 -
Regretfully staring at yourself in the bathroom mirror afterwards for a moment, shaking your head slowly, and then putting your head in your hands for 10 seconds = 3 calories.0

I get ridiculous burns for kayaking (over 3k for a 6-6.5 hour trip). I am just very effective at sex and get a much less burn. just saying ...........0

Fat burning zone @juggernaut1974 ?
As for the thread I'm personally of the opinion that if sex isn't in your general activity level you're probably doing life wrong0 -

I'm a virgin I'm offended0 -
With the exception of virgins, the asexual, singles, priesthood, nuns and those who simply don't enjoy it of course0
