Get rid of excess fat in middle area - best way?

Need to get rid of some fat in the stomach area so I can stay away or delay the metabolic syndrome (BP, diabetes and so on)
Play some intense tennis/badminton twice a week for about 1.5 hours each day. Obviously that doesn't help above the waistline. About 10 lbs over than what I should be.
Suggestions?

Agreed. Eat in a calorie deficit. There is no spot fat reduction. No specific exercise that will take the inches off your waist. No specific food to eat to get rid of belly fat. It's all about losing body fat, period, and that is done by eating fewer calories than you burn.0
