Ok to be honest yes I am having trouble with my last 20 but I also drink. The other thing is that I have been doing kettle bell training and i see significant changes i my body but my weight remains stagnant. My food intake stays below 1700 cal a day most of the time even with the drinking which I do not post but not losing. So is it the drinking that is keeping the weight on

Are you accurately logging your alcohol calories? I have to be careful to make sure I'm logging the correct strength of beer, the calories can vary a lot!

Include your alcohol. Really. I do. It's too easy to skirt the truth. No one is judging you. A few drinks could almost double your calorie total, easily.
And everyone says the last twenty are tougher. I'm ten away from that! LOL

    Keep plugging away!

Drinking is ok, as long as you track those drinks!! A Miller light has 100 or so calories, craft brews are almost double the calories and mixed drinks are high too. So, if you drink 2 Sam Adams in an evening you just had more than 400 calories with hardly any nutritional value!!!! I find it is best to not drink during the week and only drink a couple on the weekends especially if I go on a bike ride or long run. I would recommend adding some cardio to the routine too with the kettle ball training.

If you aren't losing and you are following the MFP suggested values, then you are eating more than you are logging. If you aren't logging alcohol, then that may be the thing throwing everything off.

I'm down to the last "4"lb (granted, I'm going to overshoot that goal by 5lb on purpose so I can bounce back up with the water weight), and losing exactly the same way I lost the first 41lb. I'm not some magical person, I'm just following the process and being honest with myself. I sort of "stalled" over the last month, but that wasn't because things stopped working, it was because I had vacations, business travel, holidays, and birthdays, all where I chose to eat at maintenance instead of at a deficit.

For me, what makes those last few lb hardest is that I just want to be done. I find that I'm more willing to eat at maintenance, therefore extending the process. If I didn't logically think about it, then I would conclude that I stalled and that CICO no longer worked. But it still does, I'm just getting lazy.

judging from the comments it must be the alcohol. I will start including it in the totals and see how i do

Not sure what you're drinking but to put it in perspective, a bottle of dopplebock can be 360 cals, a double bourbon is 112, and a bottle of red wine can be 700. With a smaller deficit now you're nearer your goal, ever little counts!

I drink bourbon, and I just added it to my totals for yesterday and it changed a lot. Apparently when i started losing the weight I was so heavy that even with the drinking I was losing weight just by changing my diet. But now that I am almost to my goal the drinking is making a big difference

Keep up the good work! Make sure to measure that bourbon too. I noticed a guessed ounce looks way more than a measured out ounce of bourbon. ;)

And the second or third 'guessed' ounces get even more slap happy! LOL
Not that I'm ...ermmmm... speaking from actual experience here... ~stares intently at shoelaces~

nickoner01, i like the guessed ounce practice. Also i see you suggested cardio, I actually only did cardio from the beginning, which I am up to about 5 miles at a jog, or two to three if I am doing intervals. I added the kettle bell weight training to start the toning up which is actually starting to show some results.
