This app can bring surprising results

I didn't realize just how easy it was for me to lose weight until I actually started keeping track of my calories and making it my goal to eat less than 1,000 a day and healthy. I've had this app for only a week, but I'll definitely continue to use it religiously. I've lost more than 5 pounds! Before this app, I was snarfing down unhealthy food whenever my stomach asked for it and sitting on the Internet all day because of my mild depressive state (lots going on in my life, point is that food just helped me feel better about my situation). I've realize that eating well can actually help you stay positive and I'm happy this way.

It's great when you find something that works but 1000 calories is below the limit of healthy nutritional intake for the majority of women ...I think you should read through some of the stickies in the getting started board

I've been eating food that have low calories with higher amounts, so stuff like veggies, homemade food and healthy bars. I haven't been starving myself, don't worry.
Thanks!0 -

Thanks!
if you are truly eating 1000 calories per day and aren't under 5 foot, older and sedentary then you are below the guidelines for achieving healthy nutritional minimums. Even at 1200 calories per day one has to take care to ensure one is hitting adequate protein and fats in defecit, let alone micronutrients

Beef Jerky and Protein Bars help with the protein and cheese/Greek yogurt helps with the fat (just examples) -oh yeah, can't forget about Subway. Different strokes for different folks. It's working for me, so I'd say I'm doing well.0

Of course it is working for you because its a huge shift in caloric intake. Tread lightly because its not always seen with the eyes the dangers of eating so few calories can cause! Keep up the healthy lifestyle though!0
