How often should I weigh myself?

I say once a week but I want to do it everyday. Not good, right?

If the scale is going to put you in a bad mood, then no every day isn't good for you.

I weigh every single day and record my weight in happy scale. I don't let the ups and downs of the scale number affect me in a negative way. I record daily so that I can keep an eye on fluctuations and also my weight trending down.

I use the Libra app & weigh daily. It allows me to see the small daily fluctuations. And I'm okay with that. Small up & downs don't concern me as much as the nice bright red trendline going down!
There are other similar apps users may mention that are good for weight tracking.

If seeing gains and losses daily is stressful or unhelpful for you, then maybe weekly is better. If you think you may obsess or get stuck on the numbers, then perhaps weekly, or even less is better.

If these daily changes don't worry you, then try more often (daily). It really depends on you, your personality, and mindset.

    I weigh myself every day.

If you are the type of person who will get upset or frustrated by regular fluctuations up and down, daily weighing probably isn't a good idea for you. If you can give up the idea of a "real weight" and focus on the trend, daily weighing can work well.

I like to focus on the trend, not my weight on any individual day.

Everyone's already said it, it depends on you. But I will say if you weigh yourself daily try to do it at the same time after eating/exercising similar amount. Like I weigh myself every night after dinner before working out. That will help you get a better idea of where your daily weight is vs if you do it at random times.

Every morning right after getting out of bed and using the bathroom. Log the results and use something like Libra, trendweight, or a good old excel sheet to track trends.

Completely up to you. I use to weigh myself once a week and I was fine doing that, but then I got jealous of everyone's graphs of their weight loss (I'm a nerd like that) so I started tracking my weight every day for the cool graph.

You can do it every day and then average it over the week if you want.

You hear alot that weighing yourself daily is bad for weight loss but I like seeing the downward trend, as others have said. So I weigh myself before breakfast every day.

I think as long as you keep your mental health in check and step on the scale with a positive and healthy mindset, it won't be harmful.

I think I am going to start at weekly. I do not believe daily is a good idea for me. I almost feel like if I did I might develop an eating disorder. I know that sounds very strange but after everything I have been through in the past year....I could go that way.

Just remember that even eating at 2lb/week loss may show a gain on the scale 1 week later. I've had the scale stick for 2 weeks straight while trying to lose 2lb/week only to have it all drop off the following week.

Knowing your plan works and that you are executing it properly goes a long way in mentally getting over when the scale doesn't budge.
