Internet Problems

I haven't been on lately (even though I'm new) due to my cable internet. It would come on for a minute, and then stop working. I don't know a lot about computers, people thought it was my DNS. Turned out it was a Trojan, and I had to download a start up menu thing, and remove the Trojan from starting up with my computer. Just letting everyone know in case they have similar problems.
