Water Pills (Dieuretic?)

I don't really plan on using this a lot at all since I can work out and sweat it off.
However, I have a tournament tomorrow so I was thinking if I could use this just for today.
The reviews I heard about pills are half and half. So I don't know what to go with.
What do you guys think?
Is it ok to use it if it's only used once?
I want to get rid of the water weight.

It's better to drink extra water and add in mint or cucumber. Cut back on sodium today as well.0

Agreed. A diuretic will dehydrate, and being dehydrated for a tournament will not be good.0 -
If you take a diuretic you don't need you can end up lightheaded or with a headache. Not much of a competitive advantage.0

If it's for a wrestling tournament I understand that you want to cut water weight. My son is a wrestler and he drinks a ton of water to cut water weight. Sounds weird but it works great for him. He also cuts by extra sweating.0

I drink 112oz. of water a day. That to me, is the most natural diuretic.0

Um, is this for a sporting tournament? You do know diuretics are on the banned substances list, right?0

I only take them when I feel bloated on my period. Other than that I trust my body is holding onto water it needs for whatever reason. It knows more than I do! I don't want to deprive my body of fluids it's needing. I just try to drink plenty of water each day!0

If you're losing water,
a - it's temporary & will come back as soon as you start drinking normally again
b - it could be unhealthy (losing electrolytes, getting dizzy, blood clotting more easily)
c - it could lead to poor performance

That is less than four quarts over a 24 hour span. The odds of hyponatremia from that are slightly lower than winning the Powerball, Mega Millions, getting struck by lightning and bit by a shark within a 24 hour period.0 -

I take half of the lowest dose of Triamterene every day for Meniere's Disease. Even this very low dose has resulted in a huge increase in muscle cramps after activity. I certainly wouldn't take a diuretic if I didn't have to.0
