    Walking and sometimes running.

Lately I've been doing more complexes and metcon type stuff (I think that's the right term--stuff like sets of front squats followed immediately by running, repeated a few times) for shorter workouts on non lifting days. It's completely new to me and sometimes makes me feel like I'm going to be sick. Fun times :p

None. I haven't done any in months and months and months. If I had to choose something I guess it would be steady state stationary bike.

"preference" is a strong word...I don't like cardio, but I run because I don't want to walk a Spartan/Tough Mudder course.

HIIT 1 min explosion full-out effort then rest until HR gets to 70% of max output, then 1 min again. Do ten cycles then 5 min cool down. 30 min workout that depletes glycogen stores and keeps met. burning fat for longer periods of time. Great for getting into shape fast.

Zumba. Or running (which isn't my preference, but it is the majority of my cardio)

Running and dancing. Hillwalking when the time and weather allow. Ditto cycling.

I've never tried the arc trainer but I always see people on them at the gym. Does it feel similar to an elliptical? I'm always nervous to step onto something new!

My favorite is the stairclimber! I sweat buckets and it feels awesome!

As little as possible. At the moment all I do is three 10-minute HIIT sessions a week. And that's enough for me. If I never step on a cardio machine ever again, it'll be too soon.

Running if I had to choose but my primary cardio lately is walking over to my weight bench. :D

It's different from the elliptical in that you don't move your arms (I have seen some with the handles though) and I feel more concentration in my glutes and hamstrings than on elliptical; which is where I need the extra work ;) I burn more calories too. i always enter my weight on all cardio machines and know that none are completely accurate. I really push myself too, my HR is in the 160's-170's and am soaked when done lol. I see others not working out as hard but, I'm there to work not look cute. I'll look cute later lol
