Work in progress (PICS)

edited November 2024 in Success Stories
Been going since December 2014, with a few slip ups along the way. I started off following MFPs recommended calorie intake and now i simply aim for 1500 calories and 10,000 steps a day. I dont weigh myself, instead i judge my progress by having to buy new clothes. I am very happy with my progress, i still have a ways to go but i am motivated to get there.7fgskseh5sm6.jpg

Love how you don't weigh yourself. I get so hung up on the scale. Like if it is up .2, I go off the deep end! Thanks for sharing your progress pic!

I would get hung up on the numbers too, i feel if i was weighing myself every week and losing id want to treat myself. The way im doing it now it takes time to notice the progress, waiting for clothes to get baggier takes a few weeks but when it happens and i can go buy new clothes its a good feeling.

Thank you, simplicity really works. The activity level has been key, im always trying to beat my previous days steps. Another plus side is if youre out walking then you're not tempted to eat out of boredom

I'm with you .. I have no idea what I weigh now cause I won't get on the scale . I just know for the last 2 years I've taken time off and paying the price. I'm just gonna watch my calorie intake and exercise and see the results with my eyes as inches fall!!

I feel its the best way, not to *kitten* on anyone elses system but i know my own mentality would have been to reward myself the first time I weighed myself and had lost weight. It took 6 weeks for my clothes to start getting looser and by that time i was more disciplined.

You look great and probably feel terrific! You're a testament to the fact that weight loss is about discipline and follow through, not gimmicks. Thanks for the inspiration!

Well done that's an achievement to be proud of. Sounds like you have made this a way of life rather than a fad - I think that's the secret. As a Scot I had a wee chuckle at yer hamefolks thinking something was wrong....
