I got a VivoFit for Christmas. I seem to understand the basics of how it works. I have it linked to my iPhone. Yesterday I walked for 1/2 hour on the treadmill. It logged my steps, but doesn't show it as an activity. I ran 2 miles this morning and it logged my steps. but I want to be able to see that I've done an activity. Help!

You half to press the button until start appears and that will start the timer on your workout. When you are done press the button again and stop will appear to stop it. When you sync it will show it as a workout in the activity section.

It's just the Vivofit. I tried to hold the button till {Start} appears and it doesn't. I'm wondering if I don't have the option.

That's why I asked. There are two ways that the original creates an activity. The first is when paired with an HR monitor, the second is when it notices you running for more than 10 minutes. I believe I actually had to switch something on for the 2nd to happen. I'll see if I can remember where it is and post it. The activity button is one of the biggest benefits of v2 over v1.

They seem to be slowly moving more settings into the mobile app but I didnt see this one. I went to the actual connect webste - connect.garmin.com

Clicked on the upper left grid by the word connect to get the drop down menu, clicked devices and it was there (auto-activity)
