Waist of time. Don't fall for gimmicks like this and spend your hard earned money trying to achieve whomever's celebrity body you idolize. All they do is squish your fat into your body.

There are corsets made for exercise. Usually it's easier to just take it off to work out. If you're doing it for fashion purposes or because you like the shape, then there's nothing wrong with wearing them out for errands. But corseting is not a replacement for proper nutrition and exercise.

There are neoprene waist bands (which are useless for fat loss) for support and to keep the area warm, but they do nothing to encourage changing one's shape permanently. Temporarily from water loss, yes.

they are made for exercise in that if you lean over in them. in boned corsets we have a saying: "lace boots first, corset second"

Which still do nothing to permanently change one's shape. So what's the point?

Nope, just do 5 seconds of pulling in your stomach and 5 seconds out throughout the day to work your core. :]

Waist trainers are a fad and dangerous. So No!
