My Fitbit doesn't add calories?

I recently started using a Fitbit today. I synced it with MFP on my phone for a more accurate step count and calorie burn. Because I don't have my phone on me 24/7 unlike most ppl it comes in handy to count steps. I rarely go over the 1900 calories it gives me, I only get close to it. However I like seeing the earned calories because it's a reward for my exercise or steps that I have taken. Is the fit bit saying I'm not burning the amount of calories I intake by just existing? Because it cannot be true, I'm losing between 2-3 pounds a week with my calorie deficit that MFP gave me.

Yes? And?
--your first day is partial as your Fitbit wasn't counting anything while in its box
--on your second day of using it connect your Fitbit and enable negative adjustments
--depending on your MFP activity level and the time you wake up, you will start your day with a negative adjustment and probably end the day with a positive adjustment.
--If you go to bed before midnight (or reduce your activity level late in the day), you will lose some calories towards the end of the day when your actual activity is slower than what MFP expects it to be. Over time you will become adept at eye balling all this and be able to eat accordingly0 -
What exactly does the negative adjustments do?0

How long have you had the Fitbit on? It's not going to adjust up until you either hit the minimum step target for the day or exercise.
Negative adjustment means it will take some calories away if you are less active than expected. For me, this is if I hit less than about 3000 steps (I am set to sedentary). It's not a massive amount, maybe 50 calories at the most but over a week it could add up.0
