Happy New Year! I got a new crock pot for Christmas and I am a big fan of easy crock pot cooking. Anyone have any great recipes or good sites to check out? Thanks!

My favorites are http://skinnytaste.com , http://allrecipes.com , http://diabticconnect.com/recipes , http://skinnyms.com/50-slow-cooker-recipes-under-299-calories/ , http://www.budgetbytes.com/category/recipes/miscellaneous/slow-cooker/
There are also a lot of recipes all over the 'net you can adjust to reduce the calories.
I love my crock pot and cook most of my meals in it. I live alone so I make a 4-6 serving batch and eat it a couple of times, then freeze a serving or two so I always have something for the days I can't cook.0 -

I love skinnytaste.com and also emilybites.com. They are both built around weight watchers type eating plans. My favorite crock pot dish is the green chili and pork stew on skinny taste- I can prep it ahead of time and put it in the crock pot in the morning. It's actually cooking as I type this0

The above mentioned sites plus Pintrest is a good resource - other people have already searched the internet and made a list of healthy crock pot ideas/meals. My rule... You can put anything in the crock pot. What's for dinner tonight? I just tossed some stuff in the crock pot - it will be ready when I get home. I had stew meat in the freezer, part of an onion, a package of frozen spinach, some fingerling potatoes, and a cup of organic veggie broth... Add some spices (I chose rosemary and garlic). The potatoes, broth, and onion were left over things from this weekends meals. (I hate to waste food!) Idk how it will turn out but I feel like it's really hard to screw up things with the crock pot. lol0
