Activity tracker giving too many calories?

I got a jawbone up2 for Christmas and I've been wearing it nonstop. I run most days, am moderately active (13000-16000 steps per day, including the running) and I'm getting 1000-1500 more calories added in to MFP as an activity adjustment.
While I'm glad to have the calories, it seems way too high. I wear a gps watch while running and that is giving me far fewer calories for my workouts. Now I know the gps watch only tracks my actual runs while the activity tracker counts every extra thing I do (like walking to the fridge to eat my extra calories:) ), but I feel like my activity calories are not accurate at all.
If you use an activity tracker, do you eat all your calories? How accurate is the adjustment? Thanks!

I almost made a thread like this and I came across yours. I got Fitbit for Christmas and I feel like it counts too many steps and too many calories burned! Yesterday I was watching it and the steps seemed far too many.0

If you just started using the tracker, give it time to get to know you and your habits/patterns. It will readjust over time and give you less and be much more accurate.0

This...it does readjust I've found its much better after about a week and I've had mine for almost a year now.0 -
I find mine to be fairly accurate, but have been wearing it consistently for three months. As others have said, give it some time. In the meantime, try consuming a portion of the calories given (maybe 50%, since you feel it's really high), and see what your results are after several weeks (remember that weight fluctuates considerably from day to day, and so it is important to give several weeks so you have an established trend).0
