I don't mind it. I stay steady the week before auntie flow and the week of auntie flow then it all comes dropping and surpriseeee I'm at a weight loss I didn't think I would be. I got to admit though it is discouraging looking at the scale while on period.

It is hard...but remind yourself of goals and if you indulge just stay within your calorie goal...

NEEDLESS TO SAYYY...I am one to cave in but staying well within my calorie goal.

I'd be fine if I lose my period for life. I don't care that's how much I hate it

You can use birth control pills to not get your period.

I've been on birth control since I was fifteen

Talk to your GYN. Ask him or her about skipping. What type of BC are you on?

Why would I skip birth control? I don't want to get knocked up I'm on 21

I use the nuvaring for birth control and, on my doctor's advice, keep it in on a 4-week cycle so I don't get a period. It makes my life SO much easier! You should talk to your doc about it!

I actually didn't know you could do that! I used it in college and never saw that info on the package.

Ok. But you don't know that the pill can be used to not get your period?

Pretty sure she meant skipping your period.

Call me crazy but I don't hate mine.

I used to because the pain I got was unbearable. Now, no cramps, no pain, nothing! It is surprising how much cloth pads and a menstrual cup changes things. I don't find I have more cravings or anything either.

My period feels like my own body is trying to kill me (endometriosis for the win!), so, yeah, pretty safe to say I hate throwing up, ****ing my insides out, and literally screaming into pillows because it feels like a tiny raptor is trying to chew its way out of my hoo-hah.

Solution: Finally went to a doctor that wasn't all "lol, it's all part of being a woman!" and now no longer have my period. Best decision I have ever made. I'm no longer in pain every month, I simply continue taking my birth control as normally during the placebo pack (both my GYN and endocrinologist okayed it), I have more energy, and best of all, uninterrupted GAINZ.

Ugh I'm sorry. I used to have so much pain and trouble that I was shocked when I found out I DIDN'T have endometriosis.

Old guy here so I obviously have no idea what they're like but I'd say you might be grateful for them since it means your body is operating correctly and you're not pregnant. I was thrilled in my younger days when my partners had theirs because of the no offspring factor (seeing that no birth control except surgery is 100% effective).

    Aunt Flo FTW!

Ha! Yes. This is why I have grown to like them.

Also, my appetite decreases greatly about 2 minutes after starting so for me it's a good time to start cutting calories.

I meant skipping your period. Instead of taking the placebo pills (which would give you withdrawl bleeding, not even a "real" period), just continue onto the next pack as you normally would after the period.

I need birth control for acne. I am not going to cut that out. And mine doesn't get rid of my period. It protects me from getting knocked up. My doctor told me to take birth control for safety and acne.

And no birth control protects you from pregnancy and can help clear acne. I don't know any woman who loses their period from it

I run the Pill back-to-back so I only have 3 or 4 periods a year, to help keep my iron levels up. My GP told me it would actually be OK for me to only have 1 or 2 in 12 months, but I guess I like the reassurance I'm not knocked up :D

Um..you aren't aware that there are some BCs that allow you not to get your period, or to only have it a few times per year?
