Hi! I am 5'8" and 173 lbs, age 21. I've had success in weight loss before on a restrictive diet- however, this time around I've been working out every day and eating a reasonable amount of healthy food for 5 weeks, and I have been fluctuating between 169 and 173 lbs, which leads me to believe that I am not losing weight at all! I am also taking a fat burner every morning. My goal is 120-130 lbs. What am I doing wrong?

    Eating too much.

What (specifically) is a "reasonable amount of healthy food". That leads me to believe you're not specifically tracking your intake.

Ultimately, you need to eat less calories if you're not losing weight.

Are you logging your calories and if so how are you determining how much you're eating (weighing solids and measuring liquids)? If you're not losing you're eating too much.

Fat burners aren't going to make you lose weight. Working out every day doesn't always = weight loss. Eating at a deficit will help you to lose weight.

What you're probably doing wrong is not using a food scale, guesstimating your portions, not being consistent, etc.

This^^ and you're already close to being a healthy weight (with a low goal of being a little under weight). Being just over weight, you're not necessarily going to lose weight a that fast and linearly. In order to lose weight so close to a normal weight, your logging really needs to be spot on.

How long have you been "working out every day", and what are you doing? An added or increased workout regimen can also cause water retention, masking any progress being made from the scale.

I'm 5'8" and 120 sounds pretty low to me. At any rate, input your stats into MFP to lose 1 lb. a week (or less, if you can be more patient - you'll get more calories to eat) and then track your food intake diligently. A food scale is invaluable for this.

DRINK MORE WATER as well as what you are doing and definitely track your calories to know that you are at a deficit
