if you had only a 8X12 are to put in stuff??

If you had only a 8X12 are that you could put work out equipment in what Items would you choose to put in the work out area? This includes for cardio equipment and weights.

Power rack (with oly weights, of course), adjustable bench and a treadmill or stationary bike would do it for me. Bonus points for a pair of adjustable dumbbells.0

I have about that much space that gets used for other purposes too. I have an elliptical, TRX, assorted Dumbbells, and a few other small things that can be switched out.0

My half rack with a 4'x8' lifting platform takes up 9'x9' when you account for some spare space I reserve around it (which isn't required on all sides).
If I wanted to go with strength training and cardio I'd go with a half rack, bench and weights, a mini deadlift platform ( http://homemadestrength.blogspot.com/2012/06/deadlift-platform.html ), and a bike trainer.
The half rack will essentially permanently take up a 4'x8' area, but the platform and bike trainer are easy enough to move around and store in much smaller areas.0
