No, it does not. You will lose water weight and gain it right back.

Any diet that has you eating fewer calories than your body uses per day can work. That said, this diet is pretty unnecessarily restrictive and I would get bored and hangry with it, personally.

What she said. It "works" but it's not sustainable.

I have'nt heard of it so I found their website and found this "The Military Diet, or the 3 day diet, is a fast way to lose up to 10 pounds a week."hummm.....Also I had no idea that they had Yogurt Parfait for breakfast along with Cinnamon Oatmeal, Florentine Goat Cheese Flatbread and1/2 cup sorbet

1 ounce chocolate-covered almond in the military; maybe its just the top brass. I wonder which army it is and what wine they have with each course?

It's a silly, arbitrary diet with no basis in fact which has to pretend to be associated with the military (or in other incarnations the Mayo Clinic) to lend itself any legitimacy. Will you lose weight? sure - you're eating at a calorie deficit. But it has absolutely no magic food combinations, and no more utility than eating a balanced, calorie controlled diet containing foods you like.

I really believe that this diet was started as a joke and even the author can't believe people still try it.

They come with chocolate bars, neat little mini loaves of bread, peanut butter in a toothpaste tube. It's like the neatest little picnic, lol :D

The new ones do come with quite a choice in entrees and deserts.

The nutritional information is also available now

Only two real problems I see:
    1) They are made for young men on the bounce and so pack around 1250 cals per meal.
    2) $$$ for civilians. 12 meals in a case from $50 to $75.

    "They're not your grandfather's MREs!"
