Hello everyone I'm trying to lose this weight before my Las Vegas Birthday trip. Please feel free to add me. I'm a mother of 5 with one grandson. I'm using my birthday trip as my Motivation and to stay focus. Add me to help me lose 50 pounds thanks.

    50 is extremely aggressive unless you're 400 pounds currently. Not to be demotivating, but a realistic goal will keep you healthy.

    It's great to have motivation, but 50 lbs in what is essentially 3 1/2 months- 4 months is probably too aggressive. I'd recommend lowering your expectations and setting a more realistic goal. Even if you shoot and hit a 2 lbs/week loss goal (which is the the maximum recommended loss for a healthy loss), you're sitting at about half of that... 20-25 lbs.

    I would definitely set a goal for 20 pounds if this is a fresh start. 20 pounds can give you a nice confidence boost for a great birthday trip.

    Don't focus on the numbers too much though.

    If you exercise your body will tone up and you will look and feel as though you have lost more weight. If you want to look your best for your birthday, make sure to add exercise to your plan.
