Chicken breast

Can anyone tell me how many grams of chicken breast I can have - so many differing cals when I input it. How many cals in 100g of freshly cooked roasted chicken breast no skin ?

Raw Chicken Breast is very, very close to one calorie per gram. A standard 113g serve is 118 calories (uncooked).

Lean grilled or steamed chicken, no skin, no fat, cooked without oil/butter is 165 calories per 100g.

Both the Australian Health Commission and the US Food and Drug Administration use these figures.

It is listed in MFP. In the search panel, put, "chicken breast lean 100 USDA" and it will pop into view for your food diary.

I count chicken breast cooked (as I never weigh it precooked) as :
    1oz (28g) = 1g fat + 8g protein (41 calories)
i think you can find it in the database if you search for "chicken breast, cooked"

if you choose an entry that's close and are consistent, it doesn't matter as much.

    The system entries are:
    - Chicken, broilers or fryers, breast, meat only, cooked, roasted
    - Chicken, broiler or fryers, breast, skinless, boneless, meat only, raw

When you can't tell a system entry vs a user-generated entry you can cross check against http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods - that's where the MFP system entries come from.
