I vote this as "Thread of the Year". :) Oh how I miss my chips and salsa. Sorry people, but there really is no replacement for good 'ol fashion, fatty, greasy, salty chips! I make my own salsa in 3 different varieties and use it in tons of things I cook, but I still want to eat 3 baskets of chips and salsa at a mexican restuarant! (although I haven't in almost 2 months now)

What da heck is "clean" eating? Define, so maybe suggestions won't be out of line. Does "your" clean mean processed food...some, none, a little; only whole foods...? What's your "model?" When someone says that they do not want to eat so much processed carbs and will give up their salsa and chips there is a presumption that they do not want processed chips-bagged or jarred salsa. So maybe they want whole foods that they can make at home...if so then processed tortillas won't work. This is why I say explain what "Clean Eating" is for you so you can get more accurate suggestions. "Clean Eating" have a LOT of Different meanings.

Clean eating is a lifestyle, not just a phrase I made up. LOL Whole foods, organic meats and veggies, and little else. I'm not aiming for 100% clean because then I'd be 50% miserable, but I am always looking for ways to healthy-up my old favorites, one of them being chips and salsa. I make my own salsa and it kicks *kitten*. There is also a great salsa at Trader Joe's that I adore. I just hate having limited options when it comes to what to scoop it up with.

This chick here seems to do a good job of defining what clean eating is.

In regards to chips, real, honest to goodness corn or wheat chips, I'd prefer a fresh baked/all natural product over fried and filled with preservatives and crap I can't pronounce. What I'm really after, however, is a complete substitute for corn/wheat chips. The zucchini chips sound like a great idea and I'll be pulling out the dehydrator this evening :)

Try slicing up some bell peppers and dip that in salsa! It's super refreshing!
