What is the right amount of protein to aim for each day? My food chart is suggesting 229 but I'm not sure what measurement that is. It can't be grams because that's way over the daily recommended amount for protein, isn't it?!

It depends on body size doesn't it ?0

I think .6 to .8 grams per pound of body weight is the norm. Please correct me if I'm wrong.0

It depends on body size and activity levels among other things.
Most commonly you will see .6 to 1.0 grams per lb of lean mass or goal weight.0 -

I agree with this. If you're weight lifting you could be more in the 1-1.4 range0 -
I'll eat up to 1.2grams per pound while cutting because it's so satiating and has a very high thermic affect. I also rarely drop below 0.8g per pound.0

Your food chart is nuts!!! Determine your LEAN BODY MASS (lbs of muscle - not fat). Multiply this number by 1.
There you have it - Required protein amount.0 -
What food chart is suggesting this? One given to you by a trainer?0
