Weight loss

Hey I'm new to this I weigh 226 and I want to get down to 170 pounds. Anyone suggestions on how not to get discouraged and any recommended exercise routines

    I've set small goals for myself, along with small rewards. For instance, I currently weigh 230 lbs and for every 3 lbs lost I reward myself with a new article of clothing! For every 10 lbs lost I get a bigger reward, like earrings or a trip to the movies. As for exercise, it kind of depends on where you're starting from. High intensity workouts, like spin classes or Zumba (or whatever is the current fashion at the gyms) are big calorie burners and good for the heart. I go to yoga classes twice a week and go running a few times a week, because that's what I enjoy. Try a bunch of stuff until you find something you enjoy and can make part of your life, because then you'll be more likely to go.

    This is 100% GARBAGE. First, you're not going to lose nearly 60lbs in a couple of months - not in any way that is healthy, anyway. A morning walk is NOT necessary for weight maintenance (or loss) - though if you like one, there's no harm in it. Warm water with honey in the morning may taste nice but it's not automatically making you lose weight - AND the calories count! You do NOT NEED a diet pill with known side-effect issues.

    My advice would be not to get too aggressive in your weight loss goal. Get out of your head the idea that "Faster is better" because it's not. In weight loss, slow and steady wins the race, and the person who gets to eat the most and still lose wins.

    Pump Iron twice a week. Do HIIT "Sprint 8" 20 minutes, once a week. Keeps carbs below 100/day. You'll be fine! :)
