Calisthenics burn calories based on time spent at a certain intensity, not by number of movements.

If you're doing less than 10-15 sustained minutes of exercise it is part of your daily activity and there is no need to log the calories burned.

Nothing wrong with that. But focusing on just the calorie burn is missing the big picture. The journey is about getting healthier, not just losing weight / burning calories.

Is that all you're doing? Just some push ups? Doing 20 push ups every day isn't going to achieve too much, calorie burn or body conditioning wise.

I think it's great that you do 20 a day. I wouldn't log that small amount of time. If I do body beast DVD I put in 98 calories, whether it's 30 or 40 minutes. For me, that seems to be the right number and I continue to lose weight. Keep working out and add to it!

I did more than the push ups but wasn't very much else I admit. I'm doing the push ups to strength my arms to be honest so not really trying to burn calories as I do other exercise in the week. Thanks for all the responses xx
