    Okay, so, not counting this month, 40 lbs in seven months means about 5.7 pounds a month. Are you going for somewhere around a pound or two a week? Maybe 1.5?

    Water only helps me because usually when I think I'm hungry, I'm actually thirsty.

    it helps you realize you are thirsty and not hungry

    it helps you from drinking your calories

    but it does not, in and of itself, help you lose weight.

    Very doable to lose 40 lbs.
    I try to get 60 grams of protein a day, and 25 grams of fiber a day. That combo seems to work for me. Get a food scale if you don't have one. It makes this place rock.
