    USMC. 1972 to 1976. Except for a year and a half in Okinawa, I spent all my time in California. Camp Pendleton, 29 Palms, San Diego. Worked at a Teletype Repair Technician. No such thing anymore.

    USAF 1969 - 1984...numerous units including flying C-130s in and out of Vietnam...later, as a contractor, working for ITT, 2003 - 2005 in Iraq at CSC Scania, 2007 - 2009 at Camp Virginia, Kuwait.

    I've flown on C-130's before. Great planes if you're cargo lol. Noisey as hell (we called them 4 fan trash cans lol) and not comfy for the passengers in the back but very reliable and saved a lot of *kitten*.

    Canada is my neighbor to the north, south and east lol. I live in S/E Michigan so you kinda boarder me on three sides. Love Canada send most o my visits in Ontario and went on a caribou hunt in Quebec.

    Marine Corps 1964-1994, went in young,retired young. dom-rep. '65,Nam 11/65 thru 11/67 always north of Phu-Bi first every where to the Z, Khe-Sanh 4/67,Beirut,Desert Storm,then my wife gave me orders to retire,she couldn't take any more. Lots of jobs along the way, and been around the world plus 2 NATO Cruzes,and of course Oki.3 times.

    I spent time as a child dependent, enlisted while my father was active duty, married an active duty Marine, served after her and my father were out, and for a brief period was a dependent again when she was recalled after I was out. A lot of life lessons, tough days, deployments, and hardships. And I wouldn't trade a second of it. I learned many things I will always benefit from.
