1200 and not loosing

Hi, I am looking for some advice from you!

I start mfp in Sept and lost 28lb. I have slowly been dropping my calories and a good and steady rate. I would like to lose another 14lb. Currently I am 154lb at 5ft 3in. However, since mid December I've not lost anything. Apart from 2 days over the holidays I have kept to 1200 calories and log everything.

Admittedly, on most days I am under 1200, say lacking 50 to 100 calories. Mainly because I just am unable to eat anymore!
My exercise is also lacking at the moment.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

You have hit a plateu. You need to shake things up a bit. I know it might sound weird, but eat 1500 or more for a few days and then drop back down. Maybe shake up your exercise regime & do something different.

Are you using a food scale?

This^. The first poster may be right that you might need to shake things up a bit, but the first thing is to make sure you're logging accurately. If you're not using a scale or measuring things correctly, you could be wildly off as far as how many calories you are eating each day.

    Thanks, yep, I weigh everything!
Wow, 1500 calories sounds like heaven!

Highly unlikely that someone at 154lbs and eating only 1200cals wouldn't be in a deficit.
The answer is more than likely in your diary - but you have it set to private.

    I've changed the settings.

Make sure you measure and log *everything* like it's your job, including liquids! At less than 1200 kcal, you are still in a several hundred kcal daily deficit even if you don't exercise at all.

Recheck measuring. Once a week eat an extra 300 calories. Keep carbs below 100 grams/day.

That's a huge amount of "quick add calories" you are using for someone who needs to be precise on a tight calorie budget.
Also generic entries rather than weighed, lots of suspiciously round numbers (which may be accurate if you are measuring to a portion rather than picking a portion size from the pack or bottle).

Think the first thing is to tighten up on your logging.

agree - tighten up your logging - you're guessing there

    Hi!

Had a glance at your diary... you have a lot of quick add calories. What are those for, exactly?

Hello, the quick added calories are for main meals. So as I cook, I write out the calories rather than adding each individual ingredient. E.g I would make a Quorn chilli, write all the calories down and add it to the rice. Rather than adding half an onion, x g of Quorn, x kidney beans.

Oops, sorry, I didn't refresh between loading and posting, so I missed the replies from the really experienced users :)

Have you used the recipe function? It's very handy as you can then reuse the recipes, and it's split into servings. Cannot recommend it enough for accuracy and ease of use.

If I'm honest, at 154 and that height even being close to 1200, careful logging or not your should be loosing. Id say you're at a plateu, happened to me along the way and I found having a shake up with my diet such as a "sugar free" or "low processed carbs" week would help get the scale moving again :)
