In plain English, can someone break this down for me, please?

Yesterday:

Totals 1,014 102 40 60
Your Daily Goal 1,747 240 58 65
Remaining 733 138 18 5
Calories Carbs Fat Protein

TODAY it says

Totals 890 89 42 19
Your Daily Goal 3,455 474 115 129
Remaining 2,565 385 73 110
Calories Carbs Fat Protein

My question is why yesterdays daily goal was 1,747 and today's is 3,455?
Makes no sense?

    1. You're not eating enough - you shouldn't have so many calories left over.
    2. You did lots of exercise on the second day so those calories get added to your calorie allowance for the day (MFP has set up a calorie deficit so you will lose weight even if you eat most/all of those calories - as long as your food/ exercise calorie estimates are prety close).

You added an exercise today. Says that you walked for 8 straight hours. That burned many calories, and therefore upped your calorie goal to make up for the extra work. That is why your goal is higher today than it was yesterday (yesterday you burned 197, so your goal was increased by 197 that day).
