I'm 50. I'm at maintenance. I had been maintaining for about 10 years before hitting peri-menopause with no issues. From the time per-menopause started, until now, it's been more challenging to maintain.

I also found it tough when I had a mirena.

Good luck finding what works for you!

Hello, I am 47 going on 48 and the scale moves waaaayyyy tooooo slllooooowwww for me as well. My MD told me its just a matter of really watching food intake ( may 1200-1400 a day) and getting regular exercise-especially weights. Also, I tend to lose more with minimizing my carb intake. Sort of a modified Paleo. Sorry about your loss as well-it is a terrible feeling I can relate to as well. Good luck in your efforts.
